Tokyo Bay has been used for landfill with urban waste for over a century, creating additional land now obscured by concrete and skyscrapers. This practice has reached its limit, with no capacity for waste management left for the past 50 years, and no solution in sight for this critical problem. The project aims to raise awareness of this issue by transforming the flat landfill into a mountain of waste, visually representing the dynamic nature of waste accumulation. This new approach seeks to create a striking landscape in Tokyo, highlighting the pressing environmental concern.
